One aspect of X-cart which is poorly exploited but is one of the only carts in the market that has it is the multiprovider and mall feature. X-cart offers basic functionality in terms of allowing users to manage and upload their files to the site, but this isn't done well by x-cart. I've been waiting for any company who can truly develop a mod, or utilize something like store manager to allow vendors to be able to handle products easier than the x-cart backend. We have an amazon style store with products that we supply and other vendors are also free to sell on our site as well. It would be nice to allow them to have some sort of feed importer, as well as an easy way for them to maintain their products and get statistics that store manager provides, but limit them to only their products. Currently if a vendor wants to mass upload products we have to upload the pictures for them because we do not want to give ftp access to the pictures repository as the way x-cart stores them they are all joined, and should actually have their own ftp access for their section of the store. Also as the administrator of the store I would like to be able to oversee, have better reporting to be able to get sales by vendor, the ability to sort commissions that we take from their sales, sort products and manage a particular vendors products easily. Also I have employees that need different levels of access, or access to certain parts of the store but I don't want to hand over the entire admin control just because they need to be able to use a few features such as create user, modify categories, create sales etc.
